Spruce Grove Regals Introduce Assistant Coach Garett Broadbent

The Spruce Grove Regals are excited to welcome Garett Broadbent as an Assistant Coach for the upcoming season. A longtime resident of Parkland County and a familiar face in the local hockey community, Garett brings passion, experience, and a strong belief in team culture to the Regals bench.

For nearly 25 years, Garett and his family have proudly called Parkland County home. During that time, as his sons played hockey in Stony Plain and Spruce Grove for 13 seasons, Garett was behind the bench every step of the way—serving as both a head coach and assistant coach at multiple levels.

While hockey has always been a major part of his life, Garett is most inspired by the opportunity to develop players on and off the ice. His coaching philosophy emphasizes more than just results on the scoreboard. He values the process, the hard work, and the trust that binds a team together, fostering an environment where players genuinely want to see their teammates succeed as much as themselves.

“Coaching has always been a true passion of mine,” Garett shared. “For me, it’s about helping players grow as athletes and as people, while building a culture where teamwork and accountability come first.”

With his wealth of experience and deep commitment to player development, Garett is ready to make an immediate impact as the Regals continue to build a program rooted in growth, respect, and team success.
