Tayler Mccallum - New Regals Head Coach
We are excited to introduce our new head coach, Tayler Mccallum. With an impressive coaching background and a heartfelt dedication to community engagement, Tayler is looking to make a significant impact in the upcoming season.
Mccallum brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having served as the general manager and head coach of the Northern Alberta Tomahawks Junior A Hockey Club for the past two seasons. Under his leadership, the Tomahawks achieved remarkable success, showcasing Mccallum's ability to guide and inspire his players.
Prior to his tenure with the Tomahawks, Mccallum honed his coaching skills as an assistant coach with the Edson Aeros Junior A team in the WSHL for two years. With an outstanding career coaching record of 140 wins, 28 losses, 1 tie, and 6 overtime losses over the past four years, Mccallum's track record speaks for itself. His commitment and attention to detail make him a perfect fit for our Regals.
Mccallum's impact extends beyond the rink. Prior to his coaching career, he dedicated himself to youth work at the Friendship Center, where he made a positive difference in the lives of many young individuals. His ability to connect with people and inspire them to reach their full potential will undoubtedly benefit the Regals both on and off the ice.
Originally from Edson, Mccallum has now made Spruce Grove his home and is thrilled to embark on this new chapter in his life alongside his supportive significant other and their four wonderful children. Their shared enthusiasm for hockey and community involvement fit directly with our mission to promote leadership, strong work ethic and community pride.
